Pe'epe'e - Fresh coconut milk




Room 19 were very lucky today. We had two special guest Pollyanna and Viliamu.

Viliamu took us through the process of milking the coconut.  Plus how to get the coconut out of the shell. He showed us the mata tuai, the stool to sit on to shave the coconut. The grated coconut, penu was strained through the atauaga from the laufoa plant.

The kids were able to give it ago and tried the coconut juice and shavings. IT WAS YUMMY!!!

Pollyanna gave us some yummy samoan desserts.  Fa'apapa, it is nice and addictive.
